I don’t do this everyday, however, getting a coffee from my favorite spots has always given me a positive boost. The small ritual I have agency over, the sensory enjoyment of a maple latte (got to love that dopamine rush!), the change in scenery in the coffee shop, and the light social interaction with the community can make a big difference in my day.
This is a great reminder that both micro-breaks and rewarding yourself are important for our mental health and productivity. What’s in your toolbox?
